Try it on your real calls, free
A trial on a demo line tells you nothing. This one runs on your number, with your callers, saying your business name.
No card at this stage. Keep your own number. Take the divert off whenever you like.
- TodayWe ring you and agree the greeting, your hours, and who always gets put through.
- TomorrowYour answering is built and trained on your business.Within 24 hours of you enquiring
- When you sayYou put the divert on your number, and the next call gets answered.
- At the endWe tell you it is finishing.Nothing starts billing on its own
What the trial includes
Your own number, diverted
You keep the number on your van, your website and your invoices. You put a divert on it, and you take the divert off whenever you like. Nothing is ported. Nothing is transferred. If you change your mind at half past three, the calls are back on your handset by twenty five to four.
A greeting in your own words
Before the trial starts we set up the greeting, your hours, and the questions you want asked. It is your trading name, said the way you say it, not a generic bureau opener.
Every call written up
You get the message by text and email within a minute, and a full write-up of what was said is kept for you to read. That is the point of trialling on real calls. You judge it on your own customers rather than on our word.
Changes while it is running
If it gets something wrong, you tell us and we change it, usually the same day. A trial where nothing can be adjusted is a demo, not a trial.
What it will not do: give advice, quote a price it has not been given, or take a card number over the phone. It is reception. Anything that needs you gets put through to you or written down for you.
Start the trial
Fill this in and we will ring you back to set the greeting up. There is no card at this stage and no obligation at the end of it.
- Before you divert anything
- We ring you, agree the greeting and the questions, and show you what a message looks like.
- Then
- You put the divert on when you are ready. Your answering is set up and trained within 24 hours.
- At the end
- You are told before it finishes. Nothing starts billing on its own.
We use this to get back to you about answering your phone, and nothing else. No newsletter. What we do with these details is set out on the privacy page.
What happens when the trial ends
You are told before it ends, not after. Nothing rolls into a plan you did not agree to, and there is no card sitting there waiting to be charged. When it finishes there are three things you can do.
Go monthly
A set amount each month with call time included. Sensible when the phone rings steadily and you want the bill to be the same number every time.
Go pay as you go
NZ$10 a month keeps the number live, then calls are NZ$1 a minute. Sensible when the phone is busy some weeks and silent others.
Or stop
Take the divert off your number and that is the end of it. No term, no cancellation fee, no phone call to talk you out of it.
Fair questions about a free trial
Do I have to give a card to start the trial?
Not to enquire. The form on this page asks for your name, your phone number and your email, and nothing else. Nobody is charged during the trial.
Do I have to change my phone number?
No. Nothing is ported and nothing is transferred. You put a divert on the number you already use, and you take it off whenever you want.
What if a caller gets a bad experience?
Every call is written up and kept, so you read what was actually said rather than hearing about it second hand. If something is wrong you tell us and we change it, usually the same day.
You can also take the divert off at any moment and the calls come straight back to your handset.
Will my customers know I am using an answering service?
They hear your business name and they get their question dealt with, so most of them do not think about it. If a caller asks directly whether they are talking to a person, they are told plainly. We do not think lying to your customers is worth a booking.
Can I trial it on after-hours calls only?
Yes. Divert only outside your hours and your handset keeps ringing during the day. Plenty of people start that way, because after hours is where the missed calls usually are.
Start it on your own number
Fifteen minutes on the phone with us, then it answers. You put the divert on when you are ready and take it off whenever you like.
